This is the July-December, 1988 edition of Fourth International, the former quarterly theoretical journal of the International Committee of the Fourth International (ICFI).
It includes the perspectives resolution of the ICFI, which was adopted at the Seventh Plenum, held from July 23–26, 1988, entitled The World Capitalist Crisis and the Tasks of the Fourth International. It also contains statements on Gorbachev and the Soviet Union, the assassination of comrade R.A. Pitawala of the Revolutionary Communist League in Sri Lanka, and the cases of Patrick Slaughter and Mark Curtis.
